Quacecroak January 10, 2017

Dragon of the Week - Quacecroak

At the moment Quacecroak is available in our special sale. Don't croak, just take a look!

Quacecroak is part of a rather young dragon species that originated from the connection of Legendary Dragons and the swamp toads of Thadrea and Wynnadia. Obviously, this development had no natural causes. In fact, Quacecroak and his siblings were born from the Laedis Academy’s test tubes, under the leadership of quirky Professor Knotweed, who tried to prove that there is a connection between Legendary Dragons and the amphibians of Auratia.

In spite of his bulky body, Quacecroak is the most agile and lively dragon companion you can imagine. He loves entertaining his Osiran masters by aptly imitating frogs and other inhabitants of his home swamp. His unique anatomy perfectly harmonises with hunting for his preferred prey: toads and giant wasps.

Mocraan July 29, 2016

Dragon of the Week - Mocraan

One instantly recognises that Mocraan hatched in Sitheran’s Carrion Marsh, as the typical red colour of the local algae covers his entire body. In the midst of Blood Devils and surrounded by Sitheran’s poisonous fogs and Kronos’ evil aura, this remarkable dragon began his life trying to escape the dark side.

Over and over again, Racmon attempted to take possession of Mocraan’s mind – he even gave him the twisted variation of his own name to bind himself to this dragon. But he remained unsuccessful. Mocraan defied all of Racmon’s methods of torture, until the latter finally lost interest and let him go. Stronger at heart than ever before, Mocraan left his tortured past behind and is now one of the most loyal companions any Osiran could ever wish for.

Brand New in the in-game Marketplace

Brand new and brand hot! Mocraan is available in a package with enough level materials to directly level Mocraan to level 35.

Gilded Champion September 2, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Gilded Champion

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

Once a year, the dragons of Auratia organise an ancient competition amongst each other. But it does not take place in the Dragon Arena. No human – not even the Osira Masters – are allowed to witness the event, as the tradition dates back to before the existence of humans and was brought to life by Lysaia himself. For the competition, all dragons of Auratia gather on a Sky Island which can only be reached via dragon portal.

Gilded Champion is the honourable guardian of this portal, and not even the most resourceful Osirans have ever managed to sneak past him. Sinister theories entwine around the competition, as the dragons are always in a state of such exhaustion when they return to their stables that they immediately fall into a deep sleep that often lasts several days. When they finally wake up, they are positively famished. Each and every year, Gilded Champion is overwhelmed with questions from worried Osirans. Yet he only smiles. And remains silent.

Milky Way July 22, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Milky Way

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

The scientific and magical research done at the Laedis Academy has also delved into astronomy. The smartest osirans with the sharpest minds have been constantly looking up to the night’s sky, pondering over those tiny shining dots and the swirling patterns of blue and silver. Every other osiran would much prefer to peer up at night to catch a sight of the rare dragon ‘Milky Way’, which mimics this view of the Auratian constellations.

With its silvery white scales covering its body, it becomes somewhat camouflaged against the stars, especially in small villages and in the wilderness. In Auratia’s biggest towns however, light pollution from the many buildings means that the stars and Milky Way are extremely hard to spot, some may even consider him close to invisible. This makes him very popular with astronomers and sneaky rangers alike.

Poison Claw July 14, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Poison Claw

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

As one of the very few dragons in Auratia that develop any kind of toxin, Poison Claw is unique amongst his brethren. Even though the deadly gas is produced in his neck, it has found its way down to his claws and can be secreted in liquid form, to infect wounds caused by his monstrous nails. One small cut has been documented to leave its prey paralyzed and helpless in under 2 minutes.

This evolution has also led to the toxicity slowly leaking to the rest of Poison Claw’s body, turning him a dark green, personifying his reputation as one of the most pestilent beasts even in all Sitheran. It’s no surprise that he fits in perfectly with the toxic lakes there, some even suggest that he takes his power from those waters, and in turn ensures his dominance over the region.

Bloody Thorn July 9, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Bloody Thorn

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

Bloody Thorn is one of very few remaining bloodsucking dragons. The creatures of this sub-species look the same as other dragons; however, thanks to their reddish spots, which harbour thinner scales that reveal the blood flowing underneath them, they are easily recognisable. Due to this species’ blood patterns, younger Osirans often fear the draconic vampires, as they are called in vernacular.

However, they are completely harmless as they mainly concentrate on other dragons or wild animals to quench their thirst for blood. When feeding, they take care that no being is seriously harmed in the process to not endanger their health or even life. In order to ensure a secure way of feeding, both the teeth and the claws have small cavities which excrete a weak narcotic when the dragons are hungry.

It happens very rarely that Osirans are bitten as their blood doesn’t match the bloodsucking dragons’ taste.

Dragon Rock June 30, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Dragon Rock

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

There is an old legend that speaks to the origins of this dragon. The story goes that the Legendary Dragons split open a peculiar egg-shaped rock in the Land of Death, after trying to crack it for many days. It was smooth and hot to the touch, and they were convinced something of power lived within.

Once released, Dragon Rock made his home in Sitheran, nesting on rocky cliffs. The local people of Sitheran can be often heard saying “If you throw rocks, you’ll bring a Dragon Rock”. They believe the dragon is ever-watching, and will punish those who fight needlessly with their own brethren. To them he is the perfect guardian of their people; scales as hard as ancient rock, able to withstand the poisons of Sitheran, and making sure they stand united against the common enemy of the land.

Eseriel Frostshadow June 18, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Eseriel Frostshadow

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

A traveller, with his loyal friend and companion Fleeting Snow, once travelled near Lake Lynor in Wintertide to trade with the people and merchants living there. During his stay, he heard rumours that there was an unknown dragon bringing storms from the north-west, and darkening the sky. It was said that because of this, many people have gone missing in the last few weeks. The Traveller, not giving the rumours any thought, left the town the next day with his companion to head towards the Bardeias Estate, to the north-west.

On his way, a sudden snowstorm swept over him. The traveller could barely see a few metres in front of him, and tried to cover his face. All of a sudden, the snow under his feet gave way, and he tumbled into darkness. After hitting the ground, and rubbing his head, he could hear his Fleeting Snow trying to dig for him in the snow above.

While he tried to keep himself warm, the traveller heard something large moving. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a dark being raising its head from behind a frozen boulder. Its breath melted the ice on the rock and steam rose up from its nostrils. Its pale eyes landed on the lone traveller, who suddenly felt the cold touch of fear, colder than even this cave. The dragon – which he surmised from the folded back wings he could see – circled him and came closer, until it stood almost directly in front of him.

The last thing he could recall, and the image that has stayed with him since, were those pale eyes, framed by an almost wicked grin of a hundred teeth.

Despite his horrifying memory, the traveller woke up beneath the wing of his concerned companion Fleeting Snow. He had no idea why, but it seemed that the mysterious dragon got him out of the cave and back to safety. He could have easily devoured him, but he left him alone. He stood up and looked up at the sky, and thought of the rumours he’d heard in Lynor. He shook his head. That dragon wasn’t a menace, at all. It had saved his life.

Ocean Dusk June 10, 2015

Dragon of the Week - Ocean Dusk

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

Ocean Dusk’s favourite place in the world is the sea surface, as you might guess from his name. Whenever people see him fly at the horizon, his golden appearance seems to reflect the dawning sun on the water’s surface. This dragon knows very well, how beautiful he is, and he greatly enjoys presenting his graceful air acrobatics in front of big-eyed Osirans.

Nobody knows from whence he came, but it is said he appeared at a time many years ago, when merchants from a distant land dropped anchor in the port of Wynnadia. Maybe Ocean Dusk followed these ships on their travels across the oceans … Or maybe he was, himself, a passenger.

White Silver June 2, 2015

Dragon of the Week - White Silver

In “Dragon of the Week”, the Infernum Community Team highlights a dragon from the world of Auratia.

The White Silver is somewhat of a mascot for the various merchants and traders of Auratia. He seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to items of value, especially rare ores that are hidden under the earth. Some say that this ability arose because his mother laid her egg surrounded by the purest nodes of silver ever discovered, and changed his appearance – hence its name.

Therefore merchants say that when White Silver appears and lands in an area, then they better break out the shovels, it’s time to start digging! He has also been found sleeping in abandoned mines where he feels at home, and there have been one or two accounts of a White Silver deciding to make a undefended mine his own, whether it was still in use or not.
